Pattaya, one of the important tourist places of Thailand is situated at the east coast of North Gulf. This is a place where one can find entertainment, exciting nightlife, lip smacking cuisine, and much more. Recently the place has been promoting itself as one of the best family places in Thailand.

Pattaya is a well connected place by both roadways and airways. This place is actually 147 kilometers away from Bangkok. It takes two hours to reach the place if someone is going by car. Some people prefer to go there by plane. But the closest airport i.e. U- Tapao airport is situated at the distance of thirty kilometers south of Pattaya. From U-Tapao airport one can reach Pattaya by bus and it normally takes thirty minutes to arrive at the place.

Pattaya cannot be called a traditional Thai town. One cannot get the feel of Pattaya until he visits the place. Approximately five million tourists come here every year. The hospitality of Pattaya people bring back the repeat tourists as well as welcome the newcomers.

A century ago the place was a fishing spot which was mostly unnoticed. But in the year 1961, American returning from the Vietnam War came to take rest on this beach and soon after that the place became a popular tourist destination. The facilities available for tourist in Pattaya are excellent. Water sport is an interesting option that includes sailing boat, speed boating, fishing, water scooter riding, water skiing, para-sailing, scuba diving and windsurfing. The sun lovers can enjoy the sunrays lying on the Pattaya beach. Among land sports horse riding, go-carting, bowling, etc. are worth mentioning.

People enjoy a lot when they visit the health clubs, shops, and bars situated in a close area. Though there is a robust transport facility people generally prefer to walk and enjoy the beauty of the place. Reliable hotels are available at different rates. The place has a unique combination of entertainment and relaxation. If someone wants to spend some stress-free peaceful moments of life, he or she should come to Pattaya.
