There are various places in Thailand which are worth visiting. When you are visiting with your family member you may not be comfortable visiting the bars and all. But not to worry Thailand has many attractive places where you can enjoy with your family members. Some of these are as follows:

Temple of Wat Arun in Bangkok: In Thailand most of the people are Buddhists. Altogether there are 400 Buddhist temples in Bangkok, Thailand out of which Wat Arun is one of those temples which are most noteworthy. The modern architectural design of this temple makes it different from others. This temple has some unique distinction from others. Most importantly a portion of the temple contains images of Buddha’s life.

Thailand’s Theater and Arts: You can get a variety of unique theater experiences while in Thailand. Khon and Nang Yai can be mentioned as two such examples.Thailand’s myths and ancient tales are usually dramatized in Khon, while Nang Yai is portrayed through puppets of shadows.
Grand Palace in Bangkok: This is the world famous site in Bangkok. The Grand Palace is a complex of royal buildings where royalty in Thailand lives in true sense. However, only one complex, the Wat Phra Kaeo, is open to tourists. The Grand Palace is a must see place in Thailand.

Suan Pakkad Palace: The palace is the perfect place for you to go if you want to have a look at traditional houses in Thailand. Also, in Suan Pakkad Palace, there are art collections which you might want to go to. This is a tourist destination that will suit an art lover's taste.

Vimameck Mansion: This mansion turned museum is the largest teakwood mansion in the world. This is the reason why this Vimameck Mansion turned into a museum as well. You can also see various artifacts exhibited in the museum.

National Museum in Bangkok: You cannot complete the sightseeing in Thailand without visiting the National museum. This is located in Bangkok. Connectivity to Thailand


Thailand is a well connected city where you can go by train, flight, buses and also by boat. While talking about railways it should be mentioned that Thailand has a reasonably wide, fairly slow and very cheap rail network. While visiting Thailand, you cannot be in hurry. The overnight train journey in sleeper class from Bangkok to Chiang Mai is the most popular route. If you want to reach at the north side of Thailand, this is the impressive way. But there are other day trains where you can see more scenery.

Some other useful routes can be mentioned as Pranburi to Chumphon for Koh Tao, the line south from Bangkok past Hua Hin, to Surat thani for Koh Samui, and Nakhon Si Thammarat. Sharing your carriage with monks, school kids and other types of passengers is an interesting thing. Vendors sell drinks and snacks. You can also find Sticky Rice cooked in fresh bamboo stems, seafood, fresh fruits like mango and pineapples and packaged rice while sitting in a train. So, by spending some dollars you can get a cool journey with lots of entertainment.

The boat journey to Thailand is sometimes very easy as if you are trying to visit Krabi, the easiest way to reach there is boat. The shared or private longtail boats provide a ferry type service. These longtails are found everywhere and they can easily compare to the buses and taxis on roads. The longtain boats can be hired from private charter. These boats use diesel engines which are taken out from vans and trucks. To get down from such boats you should jump because there is no landing pair as such. If there is no fixed fare chart you should fix up the fare before setting off.

The major islands and ports are connected by ferries. Some of the routes include Phuket to Koh, Phi Phi to Ban Laem, Kruat to Koh Lanta on the west or Andaman coast. Koh Samui i.e. Nathon or Big Buddha to Koh Phangan i.e. Thong Sala or Hat Rin is well connected. Koh Tao to Chumphon i.e. mainland on the east or Gulf of Thailand coast is alos connected by ferries

Travel by airways in Thailand


Thailand is very famous for it’s tourism opportunities. Every year millions of tourists come to enjoy the place. They come from different corners of the world and so Thailand has opened all the three ways to reach the place i.e. airways, railways and roadways. While you are planning to visit Thailand take a look at the options in internal flights. These are usually very cheap compared to other flight services. Taking a flight to anywhere always lessens the hassle of going by bus or train. But this should be kept in mind that all the flights don’t go via Bangkok. Some of them take other routes such as Samui to Phuket takes twenty dollars and the time is five hours by ferry and bus whereas if you are ready to pay forty dollars the journey would be half an hour by plane. Fares are more or less fixed but vary according to different airways.

The internal network on Thai airways is excellent. This covers the whole country except Samui which is monopolized by Bangkok airways. The frequencies of these flights are also very good. Everyday there are 7-8 flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, 5 flights to Chiang Rai, 11-12 flights to Phuket, 4 flights to Krabi, 5 flights to Hat Yai, 2 flights to Surat Thani, 3 flights to Ubon Thani, 3 flights to Ubon Ratchathani, etc. Some of these cities are connected by direct flights to one another.

Air Andaman is third largest domestic flight service. This has hubs in Chiang Mai and also Phuket. You can also get the information on the Internet. This flight service is available at Krabi,Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani and some of other places besides these. Orient Thai flies thrice from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, once to Chiang Rai, once to Phuket, twice to Hat Yai and once to Udon Thani. Phuket Air is the only carrier serving west-coast Ranong. This has a daily flight to Bangkok. Phuket Air also provides service to Chiang Mai, Krabi, Phuket, Udon Thani, and Mae Sot.

Attractive activities for children in Pattaya

Pattaya is a famous holiday destination in Thailand. But if you are travelling with children this city of go-go bars is not suitable for him. But no, don’t loose heart. There are many such attractive places and activities in Pattaya where your children can enjoy a lot. These activities are apt for small as well as growing children. Some of them are listed below:

Bungee Jumping: This is located at Jungle Bungy jump which is five minutes drive from Jomtien Beach. You can jump from a bungee tower. There is a trained jumpmaster from New Zealand who looks after all the operations.

Beaches: There are many activities in the beaches as numerous lovely beaches are present in the city of Pattaya. You can play sand castle building, beach tennis, beach volley ball, cricket and many such games. The children enjoy a lot in beaches.

Horse riding: This is another activity that attracts lot of tourists as well as localites. Your entire family can enjoy a horse ride in Pattaya. If you are trying it for the first time just take the help of a staff there. Beach ride will give you perfect pleasure while jungle ride is suitable for the summer season.

Diving and snorkeling: These two are the favorite activities in beaches, scuba diving is suitable for the children under 13 years but snorkeling can be done by children of any age. If you don’t know how to swim, take a life jacket.

Elephant rides: This is an exciting activity that can give you extreme fun in Pattaya. If you want to have a look from the top in a jungle ride this glorious creature. They also love to have the bananas if you are buying some for them. Kids will love to have some photographs so don’t forget to take the cameras with you.

Parasailing: This is another interesting sport which is high flying. This is actually the activities of elder boys and girls. A powerboat will be required to do the sport.

Go karts: Go-karts are very famous in Pattaya. In an off time that means when there is no international events are going on the tracks are used for the locals. They can hire a vehicle and drive it according to their wish. There are different tracks for different stages of learning.
